Discovery

Discovery is an engaging enrichment program which offers STEAM, SEL, and health/wellness activities to nearly 1,000 metro Atlanta’s K-5 youth at Title 1 schools, two Saturdays a month from October - April. During these sessions, students participate in educational activities, connect with peers, and express their creativity. In addition to fun and educational activities, students receive light breakfast bars and take-home snacks at each session.

VOLUNTEER AT DISCOVERY

Discovery is supported by over 500 community volunteers every year. Volunteers interact with students in a fun and structured environment, helping them gain new skills and visualize brighter futures. Consistent and positive relationships have always been instrumental in a student’s healthy development, but the pandemic has only helped to highlight this importance. As such, our preference is for volunteers with the capacity to support multiple Discovery sessions, but the opportunity to support individual sessions remains open as well.

Support DISCOVERY

Support one of our most popular and impactful programs with a corporate sponsorship or individual donation! Any size contribution will help. From financial to in-kind support, the program thrives off of community involvement.

Do you have a group or organization that wants to “adopt” one of our Discovery sites? This is an opportunity to form meaningful relationships with students and be a part of their Saturday enrichment experience for a full school year. Your group would commit 5+ volunteers serving a total of 13 Saturday sessions.
