GLOBAL YOUTH SERVICE DAY

Global Youth Service Day (April 25-27, 2025) is the longest-running annual youth participation event in the world and the only one that asks all youth ages 5-25 to work together for the common good while also recognizing the impact youth make on their communities every day of the year.

SVdP Food Pantry Distribution-Chamblee

APRIL 25 - 8:30AM - 12:30PM

Restock inventory, replenish refrigerators and freezers, and prepare emergency bags for families and unhoused neighbors. Roles may include checking clients in, data entry, shopping assistant, shelf stocking, delivery processing, and more.

Outreach & Volunteer Potluck Atlanta Campus

APRIL 26 - 10:00AM - 1:00PM

Make dream bags (personal hygiene & toiletries), serve and distribute hot meals, and clothing items to the unhoused community.

Food Pantry Distribution Associate Saturday

APRIL 26 - 8:00AM - 11:00AM

This volunteer will work in the warehouse to prepare food boxes for clients. They will help distribute the boxes to our clients by serving in a variety of roles: box loader, bread loader, bag loader, line director, or conveyor loader.

Free Bikes 4 Kidz Atlanta: Bike Cleaning and Repair

APRIL 26 - 1:00PM - 4:00PM

Volunteers clean, prep and repair bikes while having a great experience at our warehouse. No experience necessary but if you know a little about bike repair (changing a tire, adjusting gears, etc.), you'll know enough to fix almost anything.

Community Day and Earth Day Festival Preparation

APRIL 26 - 8:00AM - 10:00AM

Volunteers will help set up tents, tables and chairs as well as help vendors set up booths. In addition, this opportunity also include less physical tasks like making and organizing signage.

Five Points Farm Community Garden

APRIL 27 - 9:00AM - 12:00PM

Head downtown to help one of Atlanta's most unique community gardens - the Five Points Farm - a member of the AgLanta Grows-A-Lot program. Volunteers help with weeding, planting, watering, harvesting and doing site beautification projects.
