MULCH PARTY AT PIEDMONT PARK

With over 200 acres, there is always somewhere that needs a fresh layer of mulch in Piedmont Park. Mulch helps conserve moisture and reduce weed infestations. So take advantage of this mild January weather and help us spread mulch in Piedmont Park. We provide the tools and work gloves. Bring your friends and help us get the Park ready for Spring. Skip the gym for a day and get a workout that will benefit both you and Piedmont Park.

Discovery Program @ BELMONT HILLS ELEMENTARY

Saturday, January 18 From 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Smyrna)

The Hands On Atlanta Discovery program is a volunteer-led Saturday tutoring and enrichment program. The two-hour session occurs twice a month from 10am to 12pm. The program reinforces weekday learning through academic assistance, educational games, service-learning projects, and other enrichment activities. Volunteers who speak Spanish are especially needed. Students are engaged in a variety of subjects depending on the needs of their particular schools. Our goal is to have a one-on-one volunteer to student ratio, allowing for individualized attention and the building of relationships between students and volunteers.
