The 2025 Hands On Atlanta Civic Leadership Program, powered by Constellation, is officially underway! From now through May 2025, 29 Civic Fellows will lead the charge by hosting at least one project per month with their partner organizations, participating in monthly professional development and leadership workshops, and raising a minimum of $500 to support Hands On Atlanta.

Meet Jeff Cantin: Nonprofit Legacy Awardee
We’re thrilled to introduce you all to Jeff Cantin. Jeff is a Major at the Atlanta Police Department, as well as a dedicated volunteer, and member of our Civic Leadership Program. After graduating from high school, he started working in public service, doing various events. This summer will make 30 years of his commitment to public service!
Nastassja Cockrell: Following her purpose through giving back
Meet Nastassja Cockrell, a fellow in our Civic Leadership Program whose passion has always been protecting the most vulnerable populations. She actively volunteers with Grl Give, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Atlanta. In addition to volunteering she serves as the Vice President of the Sugarloaf Chapter of Grls ATL.
Connecting in the community with Edgar-Keiron Robinson
Meet Edgar-Keiron, a multifaceted professional dedicated to service in Atlanta. His background encompasses teaching, leadership, consulting and more! This made him well-prepared to contribute significantly to our Civic Leadership Program, serving with our Discovery Program. His knowledge, ambition, empathy, and optimism radiate through and showcase the amazing volunteer he is!
Empowering our girls with Crystal Mccorkle
Meet Crystal Mccorkle, a young professional dedicated to empowering others and serving her community. She is a creative, zealous, and fun-loving volunteer, a fellow in our Civic Leadership Program, and a Client Service Consultant.
Volunteering and connecting communities with Shameka Fahie
Shameka Fahie is an avid volunteer and a Civic Leadership Program fellow. She has volunteered with variety of organizations including Junior League of DeKalb County (JLD), Boys & Girls Club, United Way of Greater Atlanta, and more. She is currently serving as the Vice President of the Finance & Operations Council on the Board of Directors at Junior League of DeKalb County. Along with volunteering, Shameka is the Senior Contracts & Grants Manager at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

Fighting for Education Equity with Malan Hess
Malan Hess spends his 9-5 as a Senior Financial Analyst at Capstone Logistics, specializing in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis. This year he joined the Hands On Atlanta Civic Leadership Program and has served with our Discovery program to gain the tools and resources needed to join a nonprofit board or committee.
