Loridans Park - Invasive Species

Saturday, August 17, 2019 From 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM (Buckhead)

Loridans Park is one of City of Atlanta's newest parks and is the beginning stages of becoming a valuable greenspace for the community. On August 17th, Livable Buckhead and the North Buckhead Civic Association are teaming up with our friends at Trees Atlanta to lead a community workshop focused on the targeted identification of a variety of common Invasive Plant Species of the Georgia Piedmont region, as well as efficient removal methods of those plants. The main objective of this workshop is to empower the community group to take on invasive plant removal projects in their local greenspace with the auxiliary goal of educating individuals about invasive plants that may be present in their own yards and landscapes. We invite you, your families, neighbors and groups interested in making an impact to attend!
